I own two of these Ospreys. Bought originally to protect my face and head while out in the water while Im pretending to be a teenager again. I also found a need for rainy days a breathable waterproof hat for more simple tasks. While my funny shaped head conflicts with the clean lines of the hat and it’s intended use. I took liberty and reversed the hat (The Convertible) and discovered it works well (very well) in the rain with the rim reversed.
Going into the rainy gray season in Washington State my “Convertible
” will be used often whether out for a walk or paddling a board on Lake Washington. The hat worked well out in the ocean while surfing but did take some getting use to. Protecting my bald head was of the utmost importance which the hat did very well. Well done Sheltahats with the design.While not perfect (subjective), it is the best hat for a multitude of uses I have found. I own 2 in different sizes for expanding the use to all seasons. Getting the right size for intended use is very important. As a satisfied owner just wanting to have fun, I thank you for this thoughtfully designed hat.
